More on Glory

Romans 3:23 says, "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."

The more I consider this verse, the more I am convicted. It all began with Kay Arthur's explanation of the definition of the word 'glory'. The dictionary definition she used said glory is a correct estimate or understanding of the worth of something or someone. Another definition said it means 'weightiness'. Whichever definition is used, the fact is we have underestimated, undervalued, and dismissed the actual power and worth of our LORD God Almighty.

We stand without excuse indeed when we are beneath the starry skies or see individual snowflakes gently falling, or see a baby's shy, gentle smile. All these things declare God's glory. Do I? Do you? Why not? It's because we have indeed fallen short in so many ways.

Holy One, please help us declare your glory in our lives every day. Help us see Your glory clearly and let it lead us to truly worship You. Amen Doma

Miracle, Mathmatically Speaking

How can a young boy's lunch
Feed such a large hungry bunch?
Loaves and fish in the Master's hand,
Multiplied to equal over 5,000.

Telling them all to have a seat,
(No one was expecting such a feat.)
Everyone fed with left-overs besides
Divided by 12.

Twelve baskets of scraps
He more than met the need
The Master loves to nourish and feed
Add expectantly trusting to your prayer life.

Why don't we expect
Extravagant grace
From the Master's hand?
Subtract habitually doubting from your faith life.

Lord, please teach us how to approach your throne with boldness, still aware of your great holiness, but also conscious of your compassionate, loving care. Amen
Doma

The Presence of God

Are you convinced of the fact of God's Presence with you at all times? What about those times when you don't feel He is there; when your circumstances are difficult, even heart wrenching. You can know His Presence and be convinced of it in an undeniable, unshakable manner if you will ask for it, actively seek it and do not give up. Scripture is full of assurance of the LORD being with His own. God does not lie!

Once you come the full realization of the fact that God really means it when He says He will never leave you, you will have questions, like me. As I came closer and closer to the startling reality of God Almighty actually here with me, I had to ask myself,"What will have to change?" When I choose to believe He is actually here, right now, how will that change me and my thoughts, words, and actions? Not that you and I are not already believers who try to be obedient and faithful to the LORD we love, but isn't it different when the one you love and long to please is right there with you? Of course it is!

The moment I decided by faith, that indeed, God is right here, I was awed beyond words and deeply touched. Please, believe me when I say He wants His Presence to be recognized by you and through you. This is what glorifying God is all about - acknowledging His Presence. He is here for you and for me. He is here, through fire, storm, grief, pain, joy, triumph, life's struggles and....death. He is here, right now, here with YOU! See Isaiah 43:2 -3 Doma
