Constitutional Quandry

I was looking forward to a change, as we have been promised. I was welcoming the idea that a black man was to be our President since I am not a racist. However, something has occurred to make me worried about the future of our country.


I have been reading and hearing about a Barry Soertoro, AKA Barack Obama, and wondering how on earth he was able to be elected President of the United States, since he was not born here. The Constitution states, in Article II section 1, " No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States." These qualifications are basic. Not having seen an actual birth certificate, how can we certify his age or his citizenship. All that exists is a certificate of live birth with two different seals on it, from 2007 and 2008, making it appear that it has been altered. In Kenya, there is talk that he was born there. A quote from the since withdrawn cabinet appointee, Governor Richardson of New Mexico, stated, "Obama is an immigrant..." What is going on?


I speculate that the can of worms, that would be opened at an incredibly vulnerable time for our country, is just too big to deal with, but it is also too big to hide. This explains in part why no major news media will cover this story. No one in the media dares to approach it lest they be labeled as racist as well as trouble makers!

The Internet is filled with sites featuring serious allegations and also some startling information letting people know there is a very real question about out President to be. A court case has been denied hearing several times over this very issue and just this week. Why do you suppose that is? Look at who is bringing the case to the Supreme Court. It isn't a bunch of disgruntled Republicans! Where is this going? Well, it appears that on Jan. 23 there will be a conference reveiwing the fourth case on this very issue before the Supreme Court. It is not going to go away!

Why, I ask myself, why doesn't Mr. Obama just address the issue, show the birth certificate and summarily dismiss this whole question? The silence is deafening. It appears that everyone is waiting until the swearing in is a done deal. Will he be allowed to violate the very Constitution he will swear an oath to uphold? Incredible!
